Before starting your application, please read the Global Expansion Program Guidelines and confirm that the applicant meets every eligibility requirement. The eligibility check in this form is a preliminary self-assessment only. The Department of State Development will verify eligibility and may request further information or evidence to verify.

Please have the following information/ documents available:

  • the applicant’s ABN and entity details;
  • contact details for the authorised officer;
  • information about current and target export markets;
  • business revenue, export sales and South Australian employment figures; and
  • signed financial statements for the two most recent completed financial years that meet the requirements in the Guidelines.

Financial figures should be provided in Australian dollars excluding GST. Do not submit the application until all required declarations and documents are complete.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

To be eligible to apply for a grant under the Global Expansion Program, businesses (who will be known as the applicant) must demonstrate that they fit within one of the five stages of export and meet ALL eligibility criteria listed below:

  • Have an active South Australian registered ABN;
  • If the ABN is NOT registered in South Australia, the applicant must be able to demonstrate in their application the businesses significant operations in South Australia;
  • Be registered for GST;
  • Demonstrate revenue generated in South Australia for 24 months or more under the applying ABN;
  • Currently exporting or considered as export ready;
  • Have an exportable product or service for an identified market(s);
  • The products or service are produced primarily in South Australia under the applicants own brand;
  • Has not received funding under the Global Expansion Program for a minimum of three years;
  • Has met all reporting and financial obligations of any current and/or previous grants received by the South Australian Government within the last three years.
